When I had this house built 10 years ago and ordered my satellite TV service it was DirecTV who did the wiring when they installed the dish. You said you didn't think this qualifies as a DirecTV problem because it has to do with the wiring. Plus, there are wires that are, for lack of a better phrase, "capped off" and seemingly not connected to anything. There are wires going everywhere behind that living room TV and they connect to things I don't understand, even when they're labeled. So I'm not sure what to do next because I have no idea what I'm doing. I checked both of those splitter connections and found them to be secure. Dish Networks furthermore offers the Hopper, a digital video recorder which is. Dish Network offers a subscriber-only streaming video service through DishOnline. Dish Network offers television radio, internet and phone service via satellite. User reports indicate no current problems at Dish Network. One side goes to the DVD/VCR which is connected to my living room TV, and the other side goes out the wall of my living room to destinations unknown. Current outages and problems Downdetector. I did manage to find the splitter - only because it actually says SPLITTER on it - and there is a coax cable connected to each side of the splitter for a total of two connections. I'm doing my best to decipher the spaghetti forest that is behind my equipment in the living room, but it is tough going because I'm in very unfamiliar territory. Would appreciate any expert advice because I'm stumped. could it possibly be that the bedroom cable (and curiously ONLY the bedroom cable) somehow wore out? These cables are the original cables which were installed 10 years ago when I first got DirecTV. Connection on both the primary living room TV and on the bedroom is single coax cable. the only difference was the duration of time it was off (previous TV worked in the morning and then was snowy when I turned it on after I got home from work).īedroom TV was and always has been tuned to channel 3 (same as primary living room TV). This is exactly what happened with the previous bedroom TV. It's seems very odd to me that it works fine, then an hour later it's gone. About an hour later, I returned to the bedroom to fold laundry, flipped on the bedroom TV and was greeted with nothing but snow. We have been working with Game Show Network for months to finalize a fair agreement for our customers, stated Andy LeCuyer. The satcaster made the announcement in a press release. On Dec 26th, I had the bedroom TV on for about 30 minutes, then shut it off and moved out into the living room. Satcaster Dish and its streaming service, Sling TV, both lost the Game Show Network last night after failing to reach a new carriage agreement with the channel. Have been watching that new bedroom TV without incident for the last two weeks. Bought a brand new TV to replace the bedroom TV. This problem actually first occured three weeks ago and I (perhaps wrongly) assumed the TV itself had died. The issue is that the bedroom suddenly has no signal. My receiver is connected to the living room and that's working just fine.
